About Joshua

I am Joshua D. Larkin, a cement-industry professional, AI product builder, Realtor, and founder of CementOps AI.

My background is not traditional. I did not come into AI through a straight software-engineering path. I came from real plant experience, skilled work, quality control, maintenance exposure, and years of seeing how decisions are actually made inside heavy industry. That is the foundation of my advantage.

I have worked inside the cement industry for more than 12 years, with hands-on experience in lab operations, quality control, cement chemistry, maintenance, lubrication, SAP workflows, safety, MSHA-related thinking, and plant operations. Over time, I became increasingly interested in how artificial intelligence could support the people making difficult operational decisions every day.

Today, I am focused on building practical AI systems for cement and heavy industry — tools that help supervisors, operators, maintenance teams, safety leaders, and executives think more clearly, act faster, and reduce risk. I am not building AI for hype. I am building AI for real operating environments.

What makes my background different

Most AI builders do not understand cement plants.

Most cement professionals are not building AI systems.

I sit in the overlap.

That gives me a rare perspective: I understand the operational pressure of heavy industry, and I understand how modern AI tools can be shaped into useful decision-support systems. My strength is translating messy, real-world industrial problems into structured AI workflows, custom GPTs, and practical product concepts.

A note on boundaries: my independent AI work is separate from my employment. It does not represent my employer, disclose confidential information, or rely on proprietary plant data. It is built on general industry knowledge, public-domain information, original frameworks, and authorized materials.
